I am thinking about heading out to Vernon Reservoir this weekend. Has anyone fished it this year? Thinking about fishing at sunrise. How are the roads, I know they can be iffy early in the year.

Unless the roads are wet and it has been raining they should be passable. Otherwise the mud is ferocious. My father I law tells the story of how he saw a tractor get stuck in it as a kid.

Went out a couple of weeks ago and had about 30 hits but no takers. I was in my tube using an egg sucking leech and a variety of buggers with a type 2 sinking line. My girfriend actually out fished me. She caught a 16" inch rainbow using powerbait from the shore. The roads were pretty good when we went. Good luck [fishon]
