Any tips for first time at Fish Lake?

Making my first trip ever to Fish Lake this weekend. Any tips on what's types of lures and bait to use for fishing from the shore and from a boat? Thanks in advance for the advise!

After reading the report on dws. They say there is still ice on the lake and boats are not allowed until the ice is completely gone. So make sure you double check this information.

Thanks for the heads up! I called the Lodge and the ice was completely off about a week and a half ago.

Plan on using a boat, it is very difficult to fish from the shore. Try trolling or vertical jigging just past the weed line.

Use little whitebass jigs to catch some perch. Cut them up and put them on a gitzit tube jig or a white grub you will catch a ton of splake.
