Steve Meek and David Johnson, co-founders of Fulcrum Groupfrom Keller, TX,and associates were in Fort Lauderdale FL attending the VentureTech Network convention anddecided to do some deep sea sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale aboard the Happy Day Todayalong with the Topshotfishing team. Wehad winds out of the east at 7 mph and indigo blue waters on the 2ndreef with 1-2 ft seas.

Fifteen minutes after leaving the dock, lines were in thewater at the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale FL in 120ft. water. We started trolling, and ourfirst strike came very quickly, with a 15 lb. Black Fin Tuna, followed by amixture of Bonitos and more Tunas. Withclose to 15 fish in the boat, it was time to put the kite up and see if wecould get lucky and catch a Sailfish.

We put two kites out, two live Goggle Eyes from each kite, waiting for the black predator to appear. Right Short!!! – Dorsal and bill out of the water as this aggressiveSailfish ferociously charged the bait, attacking and eating it in a blink of aneye. Off he went, as he jumped out ofthe water and tail-walked with the sun reflecting on his neon colors!!! Steve was the angler on this Sailfish, and heshowed us his angling abilities by bringing in the Sailfish in a short amountof time. This Sailfish measured 90” -pictures were taken and the Sailfish was released to fight again.
