I was wondering if they went through the dam now and then. It makes sense that some would.
I don't know how far up river they would go. Not much stopping them. Maybe give it a try around the Bailey Cr area and down. I am curious if they do go a ways up.. Would they for spawning - in search of rocky areas? Interesting question. [signature]

Im just wondering if they may be as far as the Wyoming border. There are some fantastic looking spots out that way

Yes about 7 miles upstream from Alexander. My friend used to own some land there.

I've caught them upstream a few miles, but it is all private land where I was fishing. I don't see why they wouldn't head further upstream.

Just discovered Google earth for my phone, an I followed the bear from Alexander all the way to monpelier? Before I scene any obstructions that might prevent them from going any higher.
