No luck at Strawberry

New here. Went to Strawberry on Friday and only caught 3 fish. 2 tiny rainbows and a chub. We were boat around the reservoir, went from the marina to the Ladders, Narrows, and then Haws point. We had 4 people on a boat using spinners, green/white jigs, Powerbait, worms and various crankbaits. Went from about 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. What were we doing wrong?

Welcome! Strawberry is notorious for days like that. I have had days so fast I can't keep them off the line and then days where I can't buy a fish. You moved around and tried different methods and really that's all you can do. Just sounds like bad luck to me.

i dont know what your talkin about ill bet we got over 100 today but we was there longer and the was two of us yesterday so a fish evey 2 to 2.5 mins is close

I think I caught about 35 to 40 between 8 am to 1 pm on the soldier creek side
was stripping puple and black buggers. Rowed into shore to make some adjusts to my seat ( pontoon ) when some guys who fishing from the shore were using glitter white and rainbow colored tube jigs. Looked like they had 3 or 4 each.

Seems like most the fish are 30 to 40 feet from shore in about 20 to 30 feet of water

Hey did you guys make up Friday ? I thought I seen ya on the shore, but that wind picked up and would have been murder on my arms to row in and try to fight the wind rowing back out ?
