Ririe - June 1st outing
#1
Finally got the boat out of the shop on Friday so spent the evening "preparing" for the maiden voyage of 2013. Installed a trolling plate and a couple of Scotty manual downriggers, charged the batteries got the rods rigged and ready. Ended up taking my oldest son and two yougest daughters out to Ririe for an evening of fishing on Saturday.

The decision was made to do some trolling to start things off so we headed to a spot where we had good fortune in the past. Ended up getting one Rainbow and eight Kokes while trolling. Best pattern in the open water was a dodger/squid setup tipped with a 2 inch piece of crawler and a couple kernels of corn. 7 of the 8 Kokes came on the riggers while the Bow and other Koke came on pop gear/spinner rig. After trolling, we decided to see if we could find some perch... Ended up finding a little spot that gave up some nice perch as well as a smallmouth, a sucker and a chub.

Great first day of getting the boat (and kids) out on the water!
