Finally got a few hours to chase trout. Fished a South Fork tributary for 4 hours on Saturday and had a great morning. The creek is a bit off color and a bit high yet, but the fishing was good. I landed one 20-incher and 30 or so smaller ones. All cutthroat.
Best of all, I had the canyon to myself. Perfect way to start the day.

Uh, hate to burst your bubble, but you might want to check the regs. Most of the tribs to the South Fork right now are closed to fishing until mid July to protect cutthroat spawning. There are a few exceptions and I hope you were on one of those waters...
