LADY PAMELA 2 OFF TO BAHAMAS
#1
June 2-5, 2013

Lady Pamela II sportfishing just completed the first summer season Bahamas run and it was a blast! Captain David and mate Justin hosted Brian, Kathy, Scott and Kari for 3 days of fishing and fun. The first day was spent in Bimini where fishing was slow. The next day the boat headed north, fishing offshore of the Great Isaacs lighthouse. Our anglers had a brief white marlin hookup and possibly a blue marlin bite. We saw the fish, but it was too far away to know for sure what species it was before it threw the hook. We also caught two nice mahi-mahi, around 20lbs, and a 10 lb blackfin tuna. The boat then moved on up to Grand Bahama and pulled in to Freeport for dinner and a night at the casino. The next morning it was back to bending the rods. We ran 20 miles out and had some spectacular angling. We caught 8 mahi-mahi, with smallest at 20 lbs, while the biggest was 37 lbs. It was a killer day of fishing. The last day of fishing we caught some cudas and a 20 lb mahi-mahi on our way back to Ft. Lauderdale.

Now’s the time to hit the Bahamas, as the long days and generally calm seas allow for maximum fishing time. Give Lady Pamela II sportfishing a call and let’s set up a Bahamas fishing trip!

Tight Lines,
Capt. David Ide
