eagle valley report
#1
just got back from eagle valley, camped there for 4 days, got there wed afternoon and returned today. Fishing was insane, from anywhere on the shore dropped a garlic powerbait and within 2-3 minutes it was hook up. After getting bored of that i checked my crawfish traps and ended the day with a boil that easily fed 6 people!

Weather was warm in the day never uncomfortable tro be in the sun and great in the shade, and a bit cold at night, OK really cold at night lol i slept in my sweats a sweater and a beanie inside a sleeping bag and the bivy.

also the fire trout (or tiger forget the name) are biting pretty good on worms on the bottom. Maybe every 10-15 hookups is one and they tastes awesome! Flesh is pinker then rainbows and a bit sweeter.

Good times and good people

Sounds like a good time -- that's a fun place to fish as it's always productive.I caught some bass on a jig w/craw trailer so I assumed there were crayyfish in there but never saw one.Are they the reddish color and how big? Can I ask where you trapped them? I'm hoping to get up there soon but reports say it's been windy.
