Nothing Special, Rockport/Weber
#1
Decided to camp below the dam at Rockport this weekend to stay close to home. We hit the Weber Saturday and Sunday morning with decent success. Sowbugs seemed to be the fly of choice as they usually are for me. Caught 5-10 whitefish and 5-10 browns in the short time we spent wading in the river (two hours each morning).

We hit rockport on the toons Saturday afternoon for about 3 hours. The wind was terrible and the fishing wasn't much better. Ended up catching 3 bows on a green woolybugger towards 5 o'clock, keeping just 1.

Hit the weber again Saturday evening. Tried some streamers with no success and we switched back to nymphs. Caught my biggest whitefish yet. He spit the hook once but gave me another shot on my next cast. He put up a pretty good fight, doing circles around my legs in the water. I'm a newbie flyfisherman so I'm still getting the hang of landing the fish [Tongue].

All in all, great weekend just getting away to camp and fish!
