Anderson Ranch
#1
I don't see many posts on here concerning fishing at Anderson, is the kokanee fishing slow or people just choose not to post any info on Anderson? I have been wanting to get up there the past few summers but just haven't made it up there, it's hard to let go of the walleye fishing here, but I would like to try fishing for the kokanee the 4th weekend in July for a day with another day at Strike to see if I can find some perch. I was also wondering if it is way low like alot of other lakes here in the West? Thanks for any info.

It is way low, and going lower by the day. The kokes are plentyful, but little. 9" is the standard, with some smaller. There are other lakes closer to civilization (thought farther from me) that have fish 2 or 3 times bigger. Hence the lack of interest. Hopefully there will be some 11" fish closer to the end of the summer, ofr canning purposes.

Fishing at Strike is still a good option.

Thanks for the info, maybe I will have to opt to fish C.J. instead, those big perch are hard to beat. Walleye fishing here on Willard is still pretty good.

Speaking of Willard how are the wipers doing?

Mike, the wipers at willard are hit and miss, alot of small ones (12 to 14 inches) but there are some good 20 plus inchers coming out as well. I really don't target the wipers unless I fish in a tournament for them. I like fishing for the walleye. If you troll cranks out there now you have a good shot at boating walleye as well as wipers. The walleye will hit at wiper speeds of 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 MPH.
