new Scofield report

Pat Milburn reports that a friend of his fished Scofield yesterday (11/25). He found 4” of ice and good fishing.

It must have freezed BIG TIME up there. I kid you not, on sunday it was about 3/4 of an inch, with lots of open water. That just goes to show what a little cold weather will do. By the way, where was he? I'm guessing with 4 inches, over by the dam. This time of the year it usually stays in shaddow for most of the day, making it colder. That might be the reason for the thick ice.

I have never fished schofield in the summer or winter. I guess no time better than the present to break that. I hear first ice on is the best time to go???

You got that right Polokid! the best time to hit scofield is right NOW!! right when that lake hits 4" of ice its time to go cause another month with all the fishing pressure its going to get and it will be real slow for fishing.
