Lower Henry's Fork
#1
Had a really good evening fishing Saturday. Went out on the lower sections of the Henry's Fork and caught a bunch of browns. Started out with a rubber leg and small bead head dropper and caught a bunch of dinks. Moved spots and landed a personal best 18" brown on the rubber leg. Switched setups to an big streamer after a lull in the activity. And first cast landed a nice 16" brown. Not another hit after that so I switched to dries. Don't fish with dries much but wanting to expand my boundaries. Threw on a rusty spinner and caught a chunky guy on first cast. Must have been an old hook or bad hook because after that one fish the hook as all bent out of shape. Never seen a hook do that before and was surprised to see it happen on a fish no bigger than 14". Anyways threw on a caddis pattern because that's all i had left and caught a couple more dinks till it got dark. All in all it was a fun evening. Bugs were everywhere and the weather was perfect. My wife and son are gone visiting family in Boise till the Fourth of July so planning on getting out a few more evening after work since I don't have anything to be home for. Hoping to check a few more items off my fishing bucket list including landing something over 20"

Congrats on the personal best brown. He's a beauty of a fish. Beauty fish! Fish is a beauty (think Brian Regan, [Wink]).
