Has anyone fished Seward, AK? I'm taking a customer there fishing with an outfit called The Fish House, I'm hearing great reviews from the other guides about them. I've had a heck of a time finding rooms up there. I was hoping I'd have some information on a cabin or B&B someone on the list may have used in the past. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I fished Seward in the mid 90's. I couldn't find lodging so I rented a motorhome in Anchorage. At that time we just camped in the lot near the docks. It worked out great. Good Luck

Is that Jesse Zalonis? Good dude. Can catch fish with the best of them and you'll have some of the best bait available anywhere.
Sorry, can't tell you much about lodging up there though. Never been. ;(

I'm not sure if he owns it or not. He's not the guide we'll be taking out. I've got several recommendations from the guide. I was able to find a hotel room finally. If I were a rich man I'd build a few hotels around there I think ha ha.

I have fished with the Fish House several times and Tim Bergs several times as well. I enjoyed both, but I thought Tim's company did a better job. I do the multi species trips. We usually catch Ling Cod, Rock Fish (china, quill backs, blacks, yellow eyes, ect), halibut from chickens to 100lbs, silver salmon, and pinks. There is always bi-catch as well. We have caught a few eels, octopus, dog fish, kelp perch, skates, ect. I guess it all depends on which species and how much you want to spend. I always get with John from Bone Yard Baits and he paints me up some amazing jig heads and i get some awesome plastics from him. I usually jig big plastics tipped with salmon belly or herring. The salmon are caught on colored bananna baits with squid skirts and a chunk of herring. If you need info PM me.

Also, we stay at the Breeze Inn. Nice clean rooms and good beds. We always let J-Docks do our fillet prep and flash freeze. they do a great job. Our favorite place to eat is Rays. There is a awesome bakery for breakfast that has all kinds of breakfast foods.

We rented a motor home in Anchorage and spent the 4th of July 2008 in Seward, stayed at the Army Fam camp there. I can't remember who we booked with for a days fishing for the 4 of us. We caught, silvers, pinks, bass and one big Clingon (Lingcod). We then headed to Deep Creek and spent two days halibut fishing, great trip for two couples. I would like to go again. Have fun.

Tim has at least one lodge in Seward. His company offers deals with lodging food and fishing. Each day you can fish for
Something diff. I would contact him. Alaskanfishing.com is the site.
