Teaching my Wife..
#1
Hey all, I have recently started teaching my wife how to fly fish. Luckily for me she really enjoys it. I grew up in Vernal and have family there so when we are out that way I know all the little streams and creeks that are perfect for teaching a beginner.

I live in West Jordan now and am not as familiar with the Salt Lake Valley fishing spots. I know about the Provo and Big Cottonwood and MillCreek that are pretty close and hobble creek and diamond fork a ways down, but I was wondering if there are any other streams/creeks to fish on are here. Any on the west side of the valley?

I know people don't like to give away fishing spots so If you would like to PM me that would be welcomed too.

Just trying to get my wife somewhere to get into some fish and have that excitement of seeing that flash and pulling out a fish.

Thanks for the help!

Try some of the community ponds. Always a fish in there willing to bite. If you got the time head to mirror lake highway just above kamas or bear river lodge, lots of places in there as well.

Good Idea. I didn't think about the community ponds but that would be a perfect place to get started. Thanks! I will also have to head up by Kamas and check a few places out.
