started at 7:00 am and had a pretty good morning with some spots and largemouth on crank and jerkbaits, but dad produced the better fish on a drop shot. I've fished some after work until dark earlier this week down river with minor success, so we stuck close to the dam for the most part. thought we'd hang in there despite the heat until TVA killed the water lake-placid dead to move a work barge in below the spillgates. I've seen it all week but still can't figure out what they're working on. we called it around 11:30 as a result. for any and all who like to fish for garr, they are very active right now, becoming somewhat of a nuisance if you're bass fishing. just throw anything, especially a jerkbait. expect to lose it too.
