Gene Brooks and i have been twice in the last week or so and fishing is good! It seems you either are on them or nothing at all! After fishing for hours and hours we have managed to find a couple of productive areas. We either catch 3-4 fish in a row or nothing at all. The fish bite very well when you get near them. Most of our fish have come on small crankbaits in 7-10 fow with grass. some on senko's and topwater poppers early. In two days we caught 46 fish with the best five around 22 lbs each time. But it takes a whole lot of casts to find them. The biggest fish have been over 6 lbs each trip. The best way to catchem is spending time on the water. Top water bite is very productive up until about 10 am then its slow from then on. Most fish we've caught have been on the main river or just off the main river in the mid river area. Good luck and go more often!!
