Kingfish, Chickamauga Lake, Crappie & Bass, 7-1-2013, Lanie & Alyssa

I got to take my daughter and grand daughters boat riding and fishing. Rigged their "Princess" and "Barbie" rods and reels up with a slip float, sinker and hook. They were minnow fishing.<br /> <br />Alyssa, the younger one had her hook in the water first. Before I could get Lanie's hook baited Alyssa was doing battle with a "fish on" cry! Turned out to be a Bass (about 2 lbs.). She was so proud. It was as long as her arm.<br /> <br />Lanie finally got to fish and not too much later snatched up a soild 12" Crappie. She then wanted to fish with my rod and reel using a BGBS. Lanie learned how to see, feel and detect the Crappie bite by the end of the boat ride. I was so proud for her.<br /><br />Ended the day with 9 Crappie caught with 8 keepers. Water temp. avg. was 80*. <br /><br />
