Uinta Hog
#1
Seen this on the DWR Northern region fishing report. It was 17lbs 32 inches, caught at Smith and Moorehouse last weekend. It was caught trolling a 4 inch rainbow rapala I wouldn't think a hog like that would be in there but I was wrong. [shocked]

Saw that too. Said it may have been a holdover from the 2005 stocking.

Must of been munching on the bows and grayling in there.

I knew it had potential! There are lots of baitfish in there.

Congrats to the captor! What a beast.

Is it a Brown?

Just goes to show, you never know. I would have never thought in a million years that sterile looking body of water could have ever produced anything near those proportions. Great catch!

I've put in tons of hours fishing that lake. I've ice fished it as well, and I would have bet my truck there wasn't any trout that size in there.

Probably a Brown --- But also looks like a Tiger Trout ---- If it is a Tiger, I think would be a new state record !! WOW --- What a HOG !! Nice catch !! Congratulations !!

The same picture was sent to me. Wow! I'm not much of a trout angler but I know a good one when I see one and that is a bruiser of a slime rocket. Like mentioned, I never thought I would see one like that out of S&M.
Dudeman deserves some props...lol, get it? props? bahahhahahh. Ugh, I need to get on the water quick!

And it's a Tiger!!

If there wasn't evidence this story would be as credible as a sasquatch sighting.

The DWR posted the pic on their Facebook page and posted it on their web page in the fishing reports.

Ha. I would totally agree with you on that. I think the biggest I've pulled out of there was maybe 15"....five years ago. I never gave that place a second chance.

Scofield. Can't remember exactly how big. One thing about those tigers, they know how to grow!

I always tell myself that every lake out there has a trophy fish in it some where. Nice to S&M's best.
