Echo launching?

Does anyone know if there is water in Echo, I heard it was empty? If so do you know if you can launch a boat?

I drove by there last Friday & it appeared that you could launch a boat. However, it did look like they were pulling heavy on the reservoir.

I guess you could call "Echo Resort" and get an update before you go.

I was there about 2 weeks ago and the water levels are a good 20 to 30 feet higher than they were last year at this time, lots of campers on the beach areas and boats after 9 am. but the ramp is in the water good so you shouldn't have problems, but calling the resort couldn't hurt. go get some of those jumbos out of there[:p].

dang it must have dropped a lot since 2 weeks ago.

Whoops, misinformation alert! There was a bunch of sand/gravel covering the bottom of the ramp when I looked this morning. Just examined closer and there is still about 5 ft of ramp in the water. I have been told that Rockport has slowed their release so the water is dropping fast at echo now.

I would guess that at this rate the ramp will be out of the water by the end of the weekend.
