Bear river near corinne

My brother is having his batchelor party this weekend. We are all going camping along the bear near corinne. I have never fished the bear and was wondering what species i can expect along this stretch of river. Im mainly fish fo bass and panfish and such. would i be better off just soaking a minnow on the bottom for cats?

That stretch of the river has mostly channel Cats and Carp. Liver, worms, chicken and shrimp will catch the cats.

Thanks for the info. Thats what I was afraid of. But fishing is fishing its been a while since Ive had some fried catfish anyhow.

Minnows will work fine and you can cast and retrieve them so its a little more fun than just soaking bait. Good luck. J
