HELP HELP HELP!!!!!

I'm signed up again for the DAV event to take a vet fishing. I got a BIG problem. Last year my vet got mixed up & went on another boat so Wiperhunter2 & I went out. We smelled awful of skunk when we came back in. This year I took a family out for Cast 4 Kids and we hit every place on that pond that I hoped might produce. They caught one rainbow. Is anybody willing to give me some advice?
I sure as he-- don't want to disappoint a vet.

I quit helping cast for kids when they sued me. The release form isn't fit for butt wipe. Someone puts a eye out, they'll own your house. Vets may be different. Semper fi. My wife's been catching fish drpshoting night crawlers in 20 ft of water.

Troll the eastern cliffs with a broke Rapalas. Our favorite is a#7 broke back either black and silver or rainbow. Pop gear and worm always good in the same area.

Tom doesn't have a trolling motor, so he is limited to jigging. From my experience, you have to keep moving around at the berry until you find some active fish, when jigging, some times you will run out of time before finding those active fish, unless you know some hot spots[].

I got me a trolling motor now. That's the way we caught the only fish.

We trolled around about a week ago with the original count down rapalas in brown trout color. We only had a couple of hours but we managed 4 or 5. I also caught one on a deep diving shad rap in blue. The middle of the day is a tad slower but I would put money down that you will be able to catch some fish the morning of the event. You always seem to have luck on your side when you are helping someone out.

I recently installed downriggers and that made a world of difference! I had a great night last night.

Like was said, the east side along the shoreline from the opening of the narrows, north to that next little cove/bay (I forget the name of it) seems to be a popular producing spot. I have also found some from hawes point back towards renegade...shhh, that is secret classified information []

Hey Tom, the guys gave you some good advice on what to use but do you have any down riggers or lead core line to get down to the depth the fish are biting? If not, you have other choices, you can use banana weights or bullet weights. If you use a 3 to 4 ounce banana weight, you should be able to get pretty deep. For the money it will cost you, I'd say banana weights would be your best choice to get deep if you don't have downriggers or lead core line. In line spinners, like wedding rings will also work for lures, if you tip them with a piece of crawler. Good luck, hope to see you up there.
