Hi and welcome to BFT message boards. What geographical location is Mile Square Park in? I'm sure I can find some local info if you need it. Please don't hesitate to ask.[cool]

I fished it a few years back and pick up a few bass. Heard through the grape vine that there was some poaching going on and hasn't recovered. I might give it a try during my lunch and see how things look.

Welcome

Mile Square is a a great place to wet a line but only has fish if the DFG stocks it and there is'nt much of a leftover stock because of all the fish eating birds. TIP: Dfg drops off it's stock on the west side of the lake, keep your bait off of the bottom. Have fun[angelic]

I work less than a block away (Slater and Euclid). It's been a while, but I used rattle traps (chrome and blue?) and did well. The majority of the fish were caught between the bridge and island.

Damn. Now you guys got me thinking about it again. I'm gonna have to hit it durning lunch or after work this week.

Hey there skydemon13, I am farther north in shakertown(Northridge). I do get down that way from time to time. Maybe we can cross lines one day over there. Do they allow tubing in that place??

Hey there skydemon13,

Welcome to BFT and the California board. The mile square park lake is host to a number of kids tournaments each year and is a regular spot that the DFG plants. Never been there but it sounds interesting.
