Willard info on boat docks

I talked to the DNR at Willard on Tuesday and found out why they have not moved the docks out into deeper water. He claimed the moorings were set up so that it won't allow them to pull them out deeper. He also said, if the water level keeps dropping they will be able to put the mooring pylons in deeper, which will allow the docks to go out farther but that will not help us this year. He also claimed the low water level at Willard this year had nothing to do with the diesel spill but I'm not sure how true that is because earlier this year one of the DNR guys that patrols Willard said just the opposite, so who knows. He also claimed the North marina was just as bad as the South marina because only on boat can get to the dock at a time, the second dock is out of the water and only 1/3 of the ramp is open.
