#1
Heading up to Yuba on friday (won't be bringing the boat this time) I've never been there before and i'm hoping to catch a pike for the first time. Got plenty of pointers on my last post for pineview and got our first tiger muskie last week : ) You guys are awesome. So if anyones been out there recently or is familiar with pike/yuba and know where to go/what to use/etc and wouldn't mind sharing id be happy to hear from ya! Would be much appreciated, thanks in advance! : )

You haven't gotten any replies probably because this question was recently asked. Always a good idea to look around first before posting a question to see if the answer already exists. Here is a link to the thread:

Also went out there yesterday. It was slow for me but the wind was blowing too. I did see/hear about a couple of others caught.

Use shiny baits, colors like gold since carp are their mainstay there. Also what works for bass will work for pike. Pike are an ambush predator so they will wait for the mos opportune time to strike. Not as picky as the tiger Muskie though. Look for rocky points, they like cover. Be prepared to move around. They are located between 2 ft and 20 feet. If you want to use flies try clousers, I was using olive/white yesterday and got hits. Didn't get to try other colors though. Hope this helps.
