niteowl, Chickamauga, Largemouth Bass, 8/02/13, son (Alex)

It started out slow. We caught a few small ones in 3-6 ft of water. As the sun came up,we moved alittle deeper. Still could only manage a few small ones. We threw frogs, spinnerbaits, and brush hogs.My son decided to take over the front of boat. This was my first time taking a backseat. We was fixing to call it a day, and my son wanted to hit this deeper bank with some docks. I was sitting there talking to another guy in a boat beside us when my son started yelling get the net. I looked over and his rod was bent over. I thought he was hung up, but then noticed line was moving. I first thought he had a big cat. Then it busted out of water. He stayed calm the whole time. I was more nervous than he was. I finally netted fish. It is his personal best. It even beats my best. It showed 9.9 on my scales. Now if only I can get the front of my boat back, maybe I can catch up to him.
