Owyhee River
#1
Had to get one more fishing outing in before school starts for me on Monday. I took the 1 hour and 20 minute drive over to the Owyhee for a little brown action. It was hot fishing from 7:00 to 10:00, but then it slowed way down. Ending up catching 22 with the biggest at 21". I caught them on about everything: prince nymph, wooly bugger, BWO, Beetle, #6 stimulator, and a #14 stimulator. The afternoon was a bust with just a few fish and some missed opportunities. It was not as low as someone had told me, but it was a good day. Chukars were yapping that's for sure. The fire didn't do them much harm or so it seems.

Those are some nice fish!

I think they have the flow turned down about as far as they ever go, it's "low" by standard, but still decent enough for fishing!
