Hi im new and from West Jordan. Looking for some help finding a place to fish from the shore. I been taking my buddy fishing for the last 3 weeks and he has had alot of fun at the community ponds. So friday we went to Utah lake and fish and he caught a big ol carp haha, he was so happy it gave him a really good fight. Now im just trying to find somewhere else i could take him to have some fun. Not picky on species just needs to be somewhere we can have some success from shore. Thank you for any feed back.

Welcome to BFT Arkus! You've come to the right place for info and tips. If you want to beat the heat and catch fish from the shore I would suggest going up to the Uintas. Lots of different lakes and each has fish willing to bite the hook (well sometimes). Whats your preferred method of fishing?

Hi Arkus, I will agree the Unitas are a great place for shore fishing. Especially at this time of year. Other places are starting to get a little low but are still fish able such as settlement canyon in tooele.
