Went for a little while after work and tried to find some schooling fish and boy did I. I caught 4 smallmouth and not a single largemouth. Thats the most smallies ive caught this whole year. They were real aggressive. 2 came on a spook and the other 2 came on a chatterbait. I missed a few too. When i catch one 2 or 3 would be swimming with it try to take the bait. It was sporadic as far as the bite . They would bust up on minnows for a minute or 2 then you had to wait for the frenzy to start again. I wouldve taken pics but but wanted to make the most out the time during feeding frenzy. 2 were keepers around 19" and the other to were just short of measuring.
