Just went out for my first midnight bass fishing experience at Sand Hollow. It was awesome! Here is the link to what we used, where we fished, and the awesomeness

[/#ff0000]I'm curious about if anyone else has gone out midnight bassing. What are your favorite baits to use?

I haven't fished SH at night but I have Quail. Wacky rigged senkos and spinnerbaits. I am a huge fan of the Rippin' lips spinnerbaits and jigs. Im going to hit SH in November for one last hoorah before I put my baby away for the winter.

I live on the northern end of the state, and actually fish Idaho instead of Utah. But I had a run of 7 weeks where I fished every single day on an undisclosed lake. I'd either show up at dark and fish through much of the night, or I'd get up at 3:30am and put in 3 hours before work.
A bad day would be 7-8 bass/hour. A good day would be around 16/hour.
Pulled my two biggest LMB out this way. Both over 7#.
I love having the lake to myself. And the fun of having to LISTEN to surface lure hits instead of watching them.

Went out again Night Bass fishing Monday night, and the same patterns worked again that I described in my blog for crushing toads. I'd say the average bass was 2lbs, and we caught one that was pushing 4lbs. It was cold and windy, but we caught some beauties! Got to love throwing big football jigs!
