Poured rain that morning. Talked to two guy's that caught 5 good fish on a Black Buzzbait in the worst part of the rain. My son and his partner had several big Largemouth on a Frog after the hard rain but did not get them out of the grass. They hit the frog while it was still after a short jerk. Small isolated mat's seemed to be the ticket but the hard rain and driving wind washed a few of those mat's away. The fish really got active between 11:00 and 2:00 and were shallow. The fish that bit were quality fish but weak hook set's and not fishing a frog in heavy mat's cost them. During the week when the sun was high, it was a tough bite. Fish slow and look for baitfish and bluegill in the mat's.
