I hadn't been on the water since the CBA 2 weeks ago where we finished 4th and caught all of our fish deep. So that was the plan Saturday morning and spent the first 2 hours running the pattern I did in the CBA. Never even got a bite. About 9:30 decided to make the move to grass. Started with the frog and nothing. Decided to throw a big worm on the edges of the mat and within twenty minutes had a limit, and then it shut down. Ran around and had a few blowups on the frog and caught a few shorts doing that. Couldn't buy another bite on the big worm either. We almost decided to keep fishing and not even go to weigh-in, but at the last minute decided to go weigh-in and glad we did because our 7.84 was good for 5th place and a check.

I am ready for the water to come down and cool off so the grass bite will get hot!
