Hey guys I'm heading the berry tomarrow. I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips. Like what time of day should I go, best location on the lake, best lure and best bait. And also I'll be fishing from the shore and maybe from a float tube. thank you so much for the tips guys.

You can't get there too early.
This time of year, you should be able to catch them most anywhere from the shore that you can get away from the seaweed. Haws Point or the road, just before Haws Point or Renegade are good options. If you want to increase your odds of catching rainbows try Soldier Creek.
Casting various lures and tube jigs (I prefer to tip these with a small piece of cut bait or a piece of crawler) will all work. Fishing PowerBait will also catch them. A crawler, whole dead minnow or a tube under a bobber will also work.

Ive been doing great from the shore casting a small white tube jigs, i bring it in relatively fast with many twitches of my rod. the nice thing about the lighter lure is that you can avoid the weeds very effectively. and although you cant cast very far you wont need to, those cutts are just beyond the weed line. surprisingly enough I've had better luck casting where there ARE weeds instead of areas where there aren't, the fish know that minnows and chubs will hug the weeds for cover so that's where they are on the prowl.
