Wyo. antelope
#1
Yeah, I know, not the correct forum. Chose to misuse the forum for the best shot at getting a response. Posted this on the Wyo. hunting forum and got nothing, so since Ut. is sooooo much more active, tried it here. This was the post. Sorry for the misuse. [frown]

I live in Utah but travel thru Wyo. to Co. a bit. I'm 80 yrs now so I have some yrs. to relate to.
I have a question - simply it's, has there been a drastic reduction of Antelope over the last 40-50 years in Wyo.? Back then, I saw Antelope by the hundreds between Evanston and Laramie. Just drove it yesterday, saw 1 antelope all the way to about half way between Rock Springs and Rawlins. Saw some W. of Rawlins and that's all??? It appears to me, that there has been a steady antelope reduction, year by year. What's the deal ??????

I've seen quite a drastic reduction in antelope over the past few years. In fact, this was the first year I did not draw a tag for wyo. I was told that permit numbers dropped as a result of herd numbers being down. I'm not sure about the last 30-40 years but this was the case over the past 2-3 years for sure. Especially where we hunt.
