Fished yesterday . The fishing was slow . Five fish , the 2 biggest were 16 inch Brookies . The moss is the worst I have ever seen it . A lot of moss floating on top .

Curt, you have become the voice of Henry's Lake[cool]
I don't think there would be much mention of Henry's this year without you there.

I fished it from the boat last Friday/Saturday. Did really well Friday. Trolled flies and rapalas. Black/green leech was the ticket on a type II sinking line. trolling 1.5 mph, just give the fly a a pull every 10 sec and let it go again.

Colors were brown/tan with the split body for rapalas. Most caught were cutts, 3 brookies and around a dozen hybrids! most hybrids I've caught in one day for a couple years. Most fish were 15-16 " but we landed 7 fish between 4-7 lbs! Biggest hybrid went 22" 51/2 lbs!

Friday we landed around 30 fish, only 13 on Saturday but we quit early (friday a good friend and I is all, Saturday I had 6 scouts (14-16 yrs old) in my boat). I brought home one fish at 24" , smoked it and just finished eating it tonight-tasted great!

Awesome report as usual Ironrod. Man, that 22" had to be as big around as long! Very cool. Friends were up there smacking them with Chironomids.

Nice! I had stopped and fished chronomids from the bank a few weeks ago. Caught three in about an hour. Were they in tubes on the sw corner? Saw quite a few fishing there. I have a pic on my phone but can't get them loaded on my Mac. I'll try again tomorrow

I fished last week as well. I appreciate Curts info as well.
We did very well streamer fishing the shiner pattern I learned from FG. Cast and retrieve from my boat type II full sinking line. It was extra slow near state dock where we launched.

Catching instead of fishing up till noon. Nothing big and almost exclusively cuts.

When you fish with the Chironimids, are you doing that under an indicator? What color works best at Henry's?
Thanks
