Accepted an invitation from John (jsb) to take in a few hours of fishing this afternoon. Bites were nonexistent for the first hour on plastics and blades. Found a shallow cut/ditch in the grass and started tossing a lipless crank. Caught our first keeper of the day. We would continue catching fish for the next 3 hours using this same pattern. Ended up with 8 keepers total using this same pattern in several areas of the lake. No size to'em though. All were between 15 and 16 inches but were fun catching nonetheless. We had 3 others come off near the boat. Altogether, we boated 20-25 fish.
Water clarity was 3-4 feet. Winds were out of the south/southwest at 5-10. Water temps remained steady at 65 degrees. John brought his dog Pogo along who insisted on licking every fish we caught.
