Fished Cascade off the bank today. More of a fall ride than fishing trip. Put the poles in the water around 11 and pulled out at 1:30. After talking to several fishermen, all of whom had 1-2 trout to show for the morning, we were surprised to find fast action at first. We were fishing by the Blue Heron ramp. But, it slowed down to almost nothing after an hour. The fish we did catch were all nice-sized and hooked one major lunker. Now he was fun! As we were heading out, I noticed a boat just off the city ramp about 120-150 yards out. Trolling just to keep in one area. They were hammering the perch, and these were more the jumbo types, best I could tell. Talked to a boat pulling out by where we had been fishing, and he didn't have any luck. But, that's Cascade! By the way, Sturgeonator and I have had really good luck at Lucky Peak lately for kokanee, and Sturg. has done equally well with trout. Kali and I haven't been catching any trout...the differene I think is that he has been fishing with maggots, and I have strictly been using shoepeg. Mike
