Strawberry Next Sat (12/13/03)?

we want to head up and fish strawberry saturday but we're not sure the ice will be safe enough. what do you guys think? if anyone hears any news let me know. thanks!

Guys are still boating strawberry. The only safe ice MIGHT be in mud creek. HFT was up there a week ago and gave a report here, but the ice was still thin. We may need a couple weeks before places like chicken creek and the ladders are ready to go. But mud creek is your best bet for next weekend, and it all depends on how brave you are on thinner ice. Some guys dont like to go unless it is more than four inches.

Strawberry rarely freezes before Christmas so unless we get some more cold weather, with the temps staying below 32* during the day, you will need to wait a few more weeks, unless you a very brave like Predator said or you want to fish from shore. WH2
