Ice fishing with Berkley Gulp! Alive!
#1
Anyone use this stuff? How are the results? Looking at maggots, waxies, crawlers, trout dough, minnows, etc. Do you apply scent or do they even need it? How long do leftover baits last? Are they easy to find locally? Does Maniac make something similar? Are you tired of my questions?

Thanks a bunch!

Used it for years. You should still tip it with something.

I use gulp minnows ice fishing and don't tip it with anything else. Do quite well also.

I tried the maggots last year verses real waxies and the real stuff was much better, but when you can't find real ones they will work. Later J

I also tried the maggots at Pineview last year. I got a few taps but nothing aggressive. Finally caught a tiny perch, which I immediately cut into bait. That's what it took.

I intend to try the 1" Gulp Alive minnow this year. It's been great on perch and crappie so far. That's the one that comes in liquid.

I've used the gulp minnows and they're pretty good. Maniac also makes a minnow but I don't think they're scented like the gulp minnows are, but they still work pretty good.

Me thinks I will give some of this a try. Maybe Santa will bring them as stocking stuffers.[Image: happy.gif]

I looooove the 2.5 and 3" shad minnows through the ice. Proven winners on just about every species.
