Devils Creek ice??

Anyone been by Devils creek or Deep creek and seen ice yet???? Should happen soon I hope..[][fishin]

Got word from a friend that drove by it this morning and said it was 2/3 of the way capped, mostly down by the dam. Pretty warm forecast for the next couple days though so it will probably be next week sometime before you can get on the ice.

I drove by it today, there is some ice but it all looks sketchy. mostly ice covered but the edges were still open in spots.

Its been a week now and the cold has set in.
I am hoping by the weekend ice will be fishable at Devils Creek. Been driving by there in the last few days??

I drove by Sunday and it was half open, but after yesterday and today, I say no problem with icing up. Maybe plan next week to play it safe.

I haven't been by Devils, but it was -6 at my house yesterday morning and it is 5 degrees today. I live at about the same elevation as Devils, so it should be freezing soon. It just depends on how much heat Devils soaked up in the warm spell. It's a deep lake, but maybe some of the shallower areas will have safe ice.

I will be driving up on Sunday. With the temps and lack of wind ice making should be max. I would bet on 3 to 4 inches. I will be drill'n as I go to be carefull.... Let ya all know what I find.

As of Friday night it is capped over. By the dam has been froze for more than a week. I didn't see any sign of fishing from the freeway but, there has to be some safe ice.

Toadly ,I drove Past last night (6 Nov) It was completely capped showing several pressure ridges. I could also see foot prints out from the camp area. Hope this helps.
