If you are considering buying a Scott fly rod for Christmas keep this in mind....
I have a 5wt Scott fly rod with a lifetime warranty. Broke the top 2 islets off the other day at [url "http://viglink.pgpartner.com/rd.php?r=1191&m=1236427581&q=n&rdgt=1386088757&it=1386261557&et=1386693557&priceret=369.90&pg=~~3&k=ee2b94b43bbf42d084659b4f0bb28338&source=feed&url=http%3A%2F%2Flink%2Emercent%2Ecom%2Fredirect%2Eashx%3Fmr%3AmerchantID%3DBackcountry%26mr%3AtrackingCode%3DF7A6E86E%2D902D%2DE211%2DA87C%2D001B21A69EB8%26mr%3AtargetUrl%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Ebackcountry%2Ecom%2Ftfo%2Ddeer%2Dcreek%2Dseries%2Dspey%2Drod%2D4%2Dpiece%253fCMP%5FSKU%253dTFO0013%2526MER%253d0406%2526skid%253dTFO0013%2DS910WEI%2DS15FT%2526CMP%5FID%253dSH%5FPRG001%2526mv%5Fpc%253dr120%2526003%253d7163972%2526010%253dTFO0013%2DS910WEI%2DS15FT&st=feed&mt=~~~~~~~~n~~~"][#105289]Deer Creek[/#105289][/url] and checked into the repair policy. You pay the shipping to send the rod to the company (which is cool) and then they charge every return $50 for shipping which is one way and they are located in colorado. Does that not seem extreme to other people? I would probably shop around or look at other rods if I would have known this.
