Go Pro purchased WAHOO

So I was over in Orofino steelhead fishing during Black Friday but convinced my son-in-law to go stand in line at 4:30 in the morning at Fred Meyer for what I felt was the best deal on a Go Pro plus. They only had ten for their special and by the time he got to the counter there were three left. He had people cutting in front of him and said it came close to having to throw the peoples elbow but he came out with one of the ten. I admit not being a techy but this camera is going to teach me a thing or to. Took me 15 minutes just to figure out how to get it out of the box. But anyway my question for you ones that have one of these is what accessories do you find to be the most valuable?

Personally, the mount I use more than any other is the tripod mount. I use the headband a fair bit too.

I'm no expert either by any means, but my best advice would be to attach the camera to something stable as often as possible (e.g., tripod, tree, railing of a boat etc...). Lots of people, myself included, like the POV aspect of the headband or the chest mounts (and sometimes that's half the fun of having one!), but my videos are always very shaky when I use them, and I rarely get much good footage. That might just be me though. Maybe I just move around too much... Anyway, I find that the videos turn out MUCH better when I attach it to something solid.

Oh, and extra batteries and memory cards are handy too...

It does, I have got the remote lined up with the camera so far and have been playing around with figuring out the different options. Pretty cool so far.

I went to harbor freight and got a heavy duty magnet that was sort of like a washer. The hole in the center was just big enough for a bolt to go through so I put a bolt through it and mounted the gopro tripod mount to it. I then dipped the magnet in the rubbery stuff you dip plier handles in. It sticks to my car/dirtbike great and over the summer I had it stuck onto a heavy steel plate then I stuck it underwater when trout and bass fishing. (No currents large enough to sweep it away.

Get some spare batteries they are worth it.

Take short video clips it is easier to edit. As others have said stable platform is better my best tool is collapsible walking stick/monopod. I attach the Gopro tripod attachment it is great for getting a stable platform plus it is good for underwater shots.

We mounted one to a PVC cane for underwater shots. I have a small Tripod that mounts to anything I use.
