Greetings all! Thanks for enjoying the great sport of fishing as much as I. Hope this season find you well and stringers full. BTW, ice fishing has become my favorite way to fish.

Welcome to the site Iceflyer, I see you have found the Idaho board but have you found our ice fishing board?

Here is a link to the ice fishing board: http://www.bigfishtackle.com/forum/gforum.cgi?forum=4
Also, there is a Ice fishing contest on the Idaho board, is that something you would be interested in?

Yeah! Ice fishing has been great for me too. I figure during the summer or even the Spring, not having a boat, some of my friends have an advantage over me when it comes to fishing. However, Ice fishing... winter being the GREAT equalizer... Now we are even when it comes to fishing together. Fish all those places I couldn't fish without a boat. Plus the fish are bigger, packing on their winter coats to last till the spring when food is more abundant.

Welcome to BFT. Yes icefishing is enjoyable even though I don't get out much any more. What species do you target through the ice?

Anything that bites! But I like pan fish, trout and toothy critters.
