Utah DWR to Host Fishing Open House May 30
#1
RIVERTON - You can visit with the biologists who manage fishing waters in north-central Utah at an open house in Riverton.

The open house will be held May 30 at the Sandra N. Lloyd Community Center. The center is at 12830 S. Redwood Road. The gathering runs from 7 - 8:30 p.m. in the auditorium on the center's second floor.

Scott Root, regional conservation outreach manager for the Division of Wildlife Resources, says DWR biologists, including those who manage Strawberry Reservoir, will be on hand.

"The open house will give you a chance to share your ideas with biologists about how to make fishing in north-central Utah even better," Root says. "The biologists will also be happy to answer any questions you have about fishing waters in the north-central part of the state."

If the waters for which you'd like to provide input are outside of north-central Utah, no problem: The biologists will accept and record your input, and then provide it to the biologists who manage those waters.

Root says the open house is an informal gathering. "At the start of the meeting," he says, "a biologist will introduce the format. He'll also present some brief recommendations about fishing issues that are of statewide concern. Then, you can visit with the biologists one-on-one."
