I spoke to the Park Ranger at Rockport and he said there was 4 inches of ice in the marina and probably more on the Southwest side and the Dam as those areas froze first. I spoke to him today and it is plenty cold up there so the ice is only getting thicker. I hope this helps, The fishing up there seems to be hot and while he was punching holes he came across some anglers that had caught plenty and one was 18" long right in front of him. Good luck!!!!

Thanks for the report. Did he happen to say what conditions were like out toward the middle or is it capped with 4 inches all over? Headed up there tomorrow looking for perch.

I was up there today. 5" at the boat ramp. I only ventured out as far as the buoys (25 FOW). I caught one 11" bow with a small jig tipped with a crawler. I fished from 10-12 then had to go to work. The Bows came in at 8-10' down. The DWR guy said they had been catching them with a waxie tipped jig.
