Seth and I had talked about going fishing for a while and on Thursday it finally came together and we got out. I was not feeling particularly confident with the blue bird skies we had to start the day but we met at the ramp at 7:45 and caught some bait. Ended up in the first spot around 9:00 and had a couple of missed fish. Fished a second and third spot with no bites. As we were leaving the third spot I noticed some big arches on the fish finder. We anchored just up stream from the arches and got fresh baits in the water. Waited for about 15 minutes and a rod slammed down in the rod holder. I thought it was a decent fish but it turned out to be a monster. Seth fought the fish for about 15 minutes and I could tell he was starting to get tired so I unhooked from the anchor and used the anchor float so we could tie back up in the same spot. You can tell those fish are big when they just turn sideways in the current and peel drag whenever they see the boat. After getting off the anchor Seth landed the fish pretty quickly and the first fish of the day is in the boat at 71 lbs. Great now the pressure is off. Seth has a new respectable personal best and my ego is restored after a several trip big fish drought. It was about noon so we called Jimmy Johns and had them deliver us some sandwiches to ross's landing. We anchored up and started eating our jimmy johns and got a few nibbles but no take downs. We moved again and marked several big fish in a tree in 30 ft of water. I got 3 rods out and before I could put the 4th one out we had a great take down. I took my turn and landed a 62 after a good battle. Seth had reeled up the other rods while I was fighting the fish and no sooner than we got the rods back out we have another good takedown. Seth proceeds to haul in the 51 lber after a good fight and we are celebrating what is the best day I have ever had. We fished a couple of more spots before finding another spot where we marked some good structure and some big arches. We anchored up ahead of that spot and soon enough I was doing battle with the 57 that was ANGRY he also did most of his fighting close to the surface so we kept seeing him roll around on the surface. We also landed 2 11 lbers but who cares about that. All in all it was a fantastic day with a new friend. It was good to get out with someone new and even better to catch some BIG fish with someone new. Flow was in the 60s and the water temp started at 47 and ended at 49.

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj8/bobaftt1212/Fish/43b17b55-aebe-468e-aee4-703f0a1404ab_zpsf565f5b6.jpg
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj8/bobaftt1212/Fish/IMAG0605_zpsdcadae9d.jpg
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj8/bobaftt1212/Fish/IMAG0595_zpsc53db9cc.jpg
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj8/bobaftt1212/Fish/IMAG0591_zps6cf79c24.jpg
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj8/bobaftt1212/Fish/IMAG0586_zpsa9ddf8c7.jpg
