starvation ice caution

Just a heads up just left starvation by the bridge ice extremely thin by the pressure ridge with open water one guy fell l thru he was able to get out safely and back to vehicle the group he was with and us left shortly after that 1 fish caught pink maniac bug with wax worm

Glad he got out ok. How thick was the main sheet of ice where you were at (away from the pressure ridge)?

We didn't go past the pressure ridge but tho holes we drilled we're. 3-5 inches thick
