Deer Creek State Park threw up a picture of a frozen Rainbow Bay about an hour ago on Instagram. I know lots of people have been waiting for it to happen.

They pulled the dock at the Island Ramp. But the camera shows open water. Right on schedule. New Years Eve is Tuesday.


Just looked at the picture. Nice of some dough head to throw a bunch of auger stoppers on the ice. A rock won't tell you whether the ice will support your weight. Unless it weighs as much as you.
