<B>Ice Fishing Tip #18</B><br><br><br>Ok, so you went out ice fishing, you caught some fish, you came home and cleaned them, and you’ve just realized that not only was your brain still frozen when you cleaned the fish so was your hands! <br>You’ve managed to keep your fingers in the process but hacked up the filet job! And the honey is looking at you kinda funny.<br>Don’t worry all is not lost. Go ahead and mince the rest of the fish and say you meant to do that. It is for a new recipe you’ve wanted to try out. <br><br>" Fish Fritters"<br><br>In a bowl mix together;<br>2-4 cups fish chopped into very small peaces<br>2 eggs<br>2 cups self-rising flower<br>3 teaspoons sugar<br>1-cup cornmeal<br>1 can of beer<br>1 cup chopped onion greens or onions if preferred.<br>1-teaspoon salt<br>1/4 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon of black pepper, suit to taste. <br>Pre heat the deep fryer and spoon a tablespoon full at a time.<br><br>Or… <br>Pre heat your girdle and butter it up. You will most likely use the whole stick through out the cooking process.<br> <br>Take a large tablespoon full of the mixture and place on the girdle and spread to about grape fruit sized. Cook until it browns turn over and do the some.<br> <br>To serve place 3 cakes on a plate top with sour cream sprinkled with chopped onion greens or chives.<br> <br>Cakes can be pre made a day in advanced and reheated in the oven on a cookie sheet at 450 for 10-12 min.<br> <br>Serve with a mixed steamed vegetable melody. <br> <br>Red or white wine will go well with this easy and delightful dinner <br>Will serve five or more depending on how well you can keep your hands off the cakes.
