I am trying to talk my in-laws into opening the cabin at Bear Lake for the Cisco run. Anyone know about when that will happen this year? Took a guess at around January 25th weekend, but not sure how accurate that is.

4ft waves on it tonight!! There is no ice at all anywhere, you will need waders or a small boat this year to get cisco.

The Cisco Disco is on January 25th, so they better be running! Jan 25 is a perfect date. The cisco can run as early as the 15th and as late as the 30th. I've had luck with cisco on January 25th for the last 22 years.

I'm not sure about renting a boat at Bear lake but you won't need a boat for the cisco. One of the guys on the site is a guide up there, if that helps.

Yeah I have waders and a Cisco net for the Cisco. The boat is for the fish that eat the Cisco out by the rock pile etc. I'll see what I can figure out
